Liver Lowdown

How sending a text can make all the difference in the world for a child.

One of the great advantages of cell phones is that you can send instant texts to others without thinking too much about it, and get replies from them almost instantly.

Stuck in a waiting room? Send a text. Enjoying a magic moment at a sports event? Send a text. Spotted a great deal online? Send a text. Missing someone? Send a text.

But how about sending a text to make the world a better place?

And what if all you have to do to make a difference is donate $5?

If it sounds easy to do, and a nice gesture, it’s because it is! That’s what the American Liver Foundation’s text giving program is all about.

With a simple text message you can help change a child’s life by supporting our mission to increase awareness of liver health. For your $5 text donation, one child will be able to attend an American Liver Foundation "Love Your Liver" program for one day.

From your cell phone text the letters "ALF" to the number 85944 today.

To confirm your $5 donation to American Liver Foundation, reply with the word "YES."

A one-time donation of $5 will be added to your cell phone bill or deducted from your prepaid balance. All charges are billed by and payable to your cell phone service provider. Service is available on most carriers.

Donations are collected for the benefit of the American Liver Foundation by the Mobile Giving Foundation and subject to the terms found at Messaging and data rates may apply. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to 85944 or reply HELP to 85944 for help.

Please use your phone to text your $5 to us today.

In return, you’ll make a child safer and happier because of the knowledge gained about how to have a healthy liver; happy enough for the child to give you a “high five” for your $5!
